Documentations for Corporate Account.
  1. Copies of all CAC Documents.
  2. A board resolution in the case of limited liability or business name with more than one proprietor stating that a meeting was held and signatories have been appointed stating names and the condition to sign (MANDATE), signed by 2 directors with company seal (Signatures and other details must tally with that on CAC documents and ID).
  3. To open a domiciliary account, kindly include the request in the board resolution.
  4. Signatories should fill in details on page 2.
  5. 2 Directors/Trustees/Proprietors must sign pages 5&9 with a seal and 1 in the case of a business name with just one proprietor with or without a seal.
  6. A recent utility bill not older than 3 months from the date of issuance or payment.
  7. Copies of any Valid ID (Either Intl Passport, National ID Card or NIMC slip, Voters card, or driver’s license). Details regarding name arrangement and date of birth on BVN, CAC document, and ID should tally.
  8. Opening balance of N13,550.00 ( N10,000.00 for legal search and N3,500 for cheque book request) N50 stamp duty charge.
  9. 1 passport photograph of appointed signatories fixed on the mandate card.
  10. 2 references are to be provided with the reference form on the last page of the account opening form (1 Corporate/Business account and an individual current account, not a salary account) all accounts must be active and in operation.

Check through your MEMART, and for businesses of Construction and real estate, car sale, Gold mining and jewelry sale, import and export of automobile, Consultancy, Bureau de change, restaurants, stores and supermarkets, money transfer agency, mechanized farming, hotels, and hospitality, Estate accounts, Tax consultants, NGOs, faith-based organizations (Mosques and churches) should Provide a certificate from EFCC called SCUML certificate (Special control unit against money laundering).   12. Tax identification document (TIN Document).
  13. For schools, provide approval to operate from the ministry or authorities.
  14. For Business of Pharmaceuticals, provide evidence of registration from the pharmaceutical council of Nigeria.
  15. For faith-based organizations and corporatives, provide a deed of appointment of trustees, minute of the last meeting, constitution/rules, and regulations (All trustees must provide BVN and Valid means of ID).

Jaiz Wakala Investment

This product is tailored to Corporate and individual that wants periodic and stable return on their investment. Under wakalah the bank will collect deposits from its customers and invest the same in a specific business venture to be agreed with the customer. The bank however acts as an agent to invest depositor’s funds in an ethical manner. The bank will indicate the expected profit rate to the customer on the agreed period for the investment.

  • Minimum Investment of N200,000,000.00 (two hundred million naira only) or its equivalent in any other currency acceptable to the bank.
  • Funds collected from the investor can be deployed towards Investments in transactions permitted under sharia using any of the Islamic finance contracts approved for the bank.

1 What is Agency Banking? Agent Banking is an extension of banking services where transactions are carried out through an agent appointed by the Financial Institution. The agents are closely monitored by the bank to ensure the security of your funds. Banking at an agent’s premises is as good as banking at any bank branch.
2 Who is an Agent (for purposes of Agent Banking)? An agent is a person (s) that has been recruited by Jaiz Bank to carry out agent banking permitted services on her behalf to Jaiz customers and to other Financial Institutions.
3 Who qualifies to be an Agent? Any of the following entities qualify to be an agent: Unregistered (Sole Proprietors) Registered Businesses.
4 Will Agent Banking transactions be processed online realtime? Yes, All Agent Banking transactions will be processed in real-time to protect customers' interest. Operating regulations do not permit transaction processing when the systems are down (offline).
5 In the case of contingency, is it allowed to facilitate banking transaction on an offline mode? No, Agent Banking transactions cannot be conducted on an offline mode even in cases of contingencies.
6 Can Agents provide services outside their authorized business locations as long as requirements are met? No, all transactions must be conducted within the business premise of the appointed agent to protect the interest of the customers, and customers must be informed clearly of this requirement. This is to curb fraudulent activities.
7 Is exclusivity permitted for agents? Yes, an Agent recruited by Jaiz Bank is prohibited from conducting Agent banking services for other Financial institutions.
8 Can reversal of transactions be manually done by the agent? This can be initiated by agent, but there is a process and conclusion of a reversal can only be done by the financial institution. For any disputes, Agent or customer should call the nearest branch/contact center for prompt support.
9 What equipment will agents use to serve customers? Jaiz bank will provide POS, USSD and JaizOnline for the Agent to serve customers
10 How does an agent benefit from agent banking services? Agents will earn commission from transactions they carry out on behalf of customers.
11 Are employees of Jaiz Bank allowed to operate an Agent location? No, employees of Jaiz Bank are not allowed to start Agency banking. However families and friends of Jaiz Bank employees are encouraged to.
12 What minimum tools do I need to operate as an Agent or Agent Manager An Android phone / tablet or iPad.

What is Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS)?

This is an arrangement organized by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and States Pilgrims Welfare Boards (SPWB) in partnership with Jaiz Bank to provide a long-term savings platform for people who intend to build their savings for Hajj.



After saving the full amount required to pay for Hajj in a particular year, do I have to withdraw what I saved to go and pay to the relevant State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board?

No, once you saved up to the full amount for Hajj payment, you will be notified that you now qualify to perform Hajj and your savings will be automatically transferred to NAHCON e-Hajj portal for your Hajj slot.



How does the HSS differs from the normal mode of paying for and securing a Hajj slot?

The HSS is a queue-based system (first come, first served). Enable pilgrim pay over a period of time.



What Islamic Finance Principle is the HSS established upon?

It is established based on Mudaraba (partnership) principle.



How do I participate in the scheme?

You can participate in the scheme by registering and opening of an Account on the platform through the State Pilgrims Welfare Board Offices, HSS web portal (hajjsavings.jaizbankplc.com) or any Jaiz Bank Branch.

How do I subscribe to the Scheme?

You can open a Hajj Savings Account through the State Pilgrims Welfare Board Offices, HSS web portal or any Jaiz Bank Branch.



What are the requirements for opening Hajj Savings Account?

Provision of a Bank Verification Number (BVN), National Identification Number (NIN), passport photograph and Utility bill (Optional).



Can HSS Account be opened for children?

Yes, parents/guardians who have BVN and NIN can open an account for children/wards.



How do I deposit funds into HSS Account?

You can deposit over-the-counter at any Jaiz Bank Branches, or any Bank Branch via collections platform (e-Bills) or direct transfer through any electronic channel or agency banking.



How often can I make deposit into HSS Account?

You can make deposit spontaneously or at a desired plan (daily, weekly, monthly, biannually).



Can I withdraw from my savings?

No, you cannot. The account is for Hajj Deposit. It may be entertained in the future.



Do I gain profit from my savings?

Yes, profit is shared between the Bank (as the Mudarib) and the customer (as Rabbul Maal) based on pre-agreed sharing ratio.



What does the Hajj Savings Scheme cover?

The scheme covers all components of Hajj fare of a particular year.



Can I exit from the scheme?

Yes, you can withdraw completely from the scheme by giving adequate notice to the Bank.



What happens in the event of demise of a customer?

The heirs of the deceased subscriber shall access the funds after providing letter of Administration from a court of competent jurisdiction.



Can Jaiz Bank finance my deposit shortfall to meet-up with the outstanding target amount?

Yes, subject to meeting Jaiz Bank Financing requirements.



What happens when total Hajj Savings plus accrued profit is more than the actual expenditure for the year?

The excess amount can be used to commence a new savings plan or balance transferred to customers checking account (savings or current account).



Can I make Hadaya payment through the Hajj Savings Account?

Yes, an intending pilgrim can add payment of Hadaya into his/her HSS Account.



How will loss be shared?

The Bank has made adequate arrangements to insulate pilgrims from loss. However, when loss is recorded over and above the arrangements of the Bank, the principle of loss sharing under Mudarabah arrangement shall apply.



What is Mudarabah?

It is a principle of Shariah financial transaction where an depositor (Rabbul Maal) puts his money into a business that will be run/operated by the Bank (Mudarib) and they share profit and loss on a pre-determined ratio.



What happens if i fulfil all conditions for Hajj and an unexpected problem prevents me fro embarking on Hajj for that year

Your slot will be reserved for the succeeding year subject to availability of your chosen State.



What is the minimum waiting time once I enrol?

The minimum waiting time will depend on the number of subscribers that have fulfilled their conditions before you



What happens if i have fulfilled all conditions but the slots in my chosen state are filled up?

You will be moved to the next available State or next available year.



What is the enrolment process for those without BVN and NIN?

Potential subscribers are encouraged to obtain a BVN and NIN from the nearest bank or BVN enrolment centre and the nearest National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) registration centres before enrolling under the scheme as they are mandatory requirements.



At what point will a subscriber know he/she is eligible for Hajj?

A subscriber will be notified of his/her eligibility to perform Hajj 12 months in advance.



Does the Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS) cover Umrah?

No, at the moment the HSS is for Hajj only.

1. How do I register for Jaiz Mobile Plus

Download Jaiz Mobile Plus on Google play store and Apple store for android and iOS respectively. You will have the following options to sign up using:

  • Jaiz Account
  • Active Jaiz Debit Card or token
  • Mobile phone with at least Android version 5.0 and iOS version 13.0
  • Create your login details (User ID and Password)



2. My debit card is blocked or inactive can I still enroll on the Jaiz Mobile Plus using my card details?

No. You can only use your activate Jaiz Debit card. If the card is blocked, kindly visit the nearest branch to activate it.



3. My debit card has expired can I still enroll on the Jaiz Mobile Plus using my card details?

No. Kindly visit the nearest branch to renew your card.



4. I am an existing Jaiz bank Account holder but I do not have a debit card linked to my account, how can I enroll for the Jaiz Mobile Plus?

You would be required to sign up or request for an instant debit card before you can enroll on the Jaiz Mobile Plus. Please visit any of our branches to do that.



5. What happens when I change my device?

When you change your device, kindly download Jaiz Mobile Plus on the new device, then you are required to add your profile to the new device by clicking the activate device menu on the login page and proceed with the instructions. Please note that immediately you activate the new device you won’t be able to login to the old device. This is to prevent unauthorized access to your account.



6. What do I do when I forget my Jaiz Mobile Plus password?

If you forget your password, Click on forgot banking details button on the login page and follow the below steps:

  • Select forgot password
  • Enter your username and account number
  • Click proceed and a new password is automatically generated and sent to your profiled mobile number and e-mail address with the Bank. Sign in and change your password.



7. My PIN has been compromised, what do I do? / How do I reset my PIN or change my PIN?

After login, you can reset or change your PIN by clicking on Manage PIN under the Settings menu then change or reset PIN.



8. What is a transaction PIN?

A transaction PIN is a 4 to 6 digits security code of your preferred choice that is used to complete



9. How do I get my Jaiz Mobile Plus PIN?

The PIN is created at the point of registration.



10. How can I increase my transaction limit?

The default daily transfer limit is set at One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150,000.00). Nevertheless, you can increase your limit up to 500,000.00 within the app. Limit enhancement above 500,000.00 will require the Bank’s approval. Please note that single transaction above 500,000.00 will require you to use the second level authenticator you selected during the limit increase.



11. I cannot view my corporate account on my mobile

Corporate accounts will not be available on the APP



12. Can Jaiz Mobile and Jaiz Mobile Plus Apps coexist on my Phone?

Yes.



13. Do I need to delete Jaiz Mobile before installing Jaiz mobile Plus?

No. Both Apps can coexist



14. Can the transaction PIN for My Jaiz Mobile App Work with Jaiz Mobile Plus App?

No, the transaction PIN for the Jaiz Mobile cannot work with this new app. Kindly use the transaction PIN created while registering on JaizMobile Plus.



15. Can I use my Login details on JaizMobile to signing to Jaiz Mobile Plus?

No, the Login information for Jaiz Mobile cannot be used for Jaiz Mobile Plus.

Yes, when doing your transactions, there is a check box to save the beneficiary details. You can then initiate transaction to the saved beneficiary from your beneficiary menu in subsequent transactions. Note: You can delete beneficiary by going to the beneficiary menu.



20. How do I view my account statement?

After you log in to the app, navigate to history menu, select the account you would like to view and click the calendar icon at the top corner and select the date range to display your transactions. You will be able to view your last 3 months statement.

26. Do I need the 11 digits on my smart card to pay for my DSTV subscription?

No! Only the first 10 digits of your smart card number would be required when you pay for your DSTV using Jaiz Bank Mobile App. Please ensure that there are no spaces between the digits of the smart card number.



27. Why can’t I download the app if my OS is less than 5.0 when other banks app can be downloaded on such?

The application does not support android version below 5.0.



28. How do I retrieve my username if I forget it?

29. How can I retrieve receipt, if I was not able to save while carrying out transaction?

This is available in the new build



30. Can I buy airtime above 10,000 on my mobile app?

You can buy airtime up to 50,000 on the Jaizmobileplus app



31. Do I need to enter the 11 digits of my meter number when buying electricity using Buy power?

Off course, you need to enter the full 11 digit meter number and make sure its displays details of the meter, including the Meter Balance.



32. Can I be in Abuja and recharge a meter in Ibadan for instance?

Yes, you can recharge on all the Discos, just make sure the meter number is correct.



33. Can I view my Domiciliary/Investment accounts without coming to the Bank?

Yes, all you need to is go to the top left side on your Jaizmobileapp and select special accounts to view the following accounts:

  • Domiciliary Account
  • Facility Account
  • Investment Account
  • Hajj Savings Account



34. Will I be able to print my account statement beyond 3 months on the new mobile app?

You can print even up to a year but it has to be 90 days at a time.



35. How do I open an account with Jaiz Bank if there is no Jaiz Bank Branch in my location?

You can open an account using the USSD code by dialing: *773# or Download the Jaiz mobile plus from play store.



36. After increasing my limit on the Jaiz mobile plus, should I have to wait for 24 hours to be able to transfer the new limit?

Yes, the new limits takes effect after 24 hours, this is for security reasons



37. I want to open a Hajj Savings account; must I go to a Jaiz Bank branch?

You can now open a Hajj savings account with your BVN on the new Jaiz mobile plus by simply logging on to the app and click on open account, then select the account type you intend to open :

38. I don’t have a Jaiz Bank Debit card, how can I be on boarded on the Jaiz mobile plus?

You can be on boarded on the new jaiz mobile plus using BVN and Token (Hardware and Soft)

Q: How do I subscribe for *773#?

A: Dial *773# from the phone number registered with the Bank and follow the prompt.



Q: Is my *773# profile activated automatically?

A: No. You need to activate your *773# profile using either of:

  • The last 6 digits of your active ATM (debit) card number
  • Your BVN
  • Your Internet Banking Token



Q: Do I require a PIN for my *773# transaction?

A: Yes. Customer would be required to define a 4-digit PIN at the point of activation of the profile



Q: What is *773# SINGLE transaction limit?

A: The transfer limit is N20,000. However, customers would be required to provide the last 6 digits of their active ATM (debit) card for transfer amounts above N20,000



Q: What is *773# DAILY transaction limit?

A: The transfer limit is N100,000. However, customers can request for limit increase via the *773# service.



Q: What should I do if I forget my *773# PIN?

A: Please dial *773#; select 8 to go to next page. Then select 6 to Reset PIN. Customers can ONLY transact N20,000 and below after a PIN reset until 24hours after the PIN reset.



Q: Can I add or remove my other accounts?
